Download the desktop ZIP, install it in your browser, and connect MemeTag to your X feed.
Before you start
Version 1.4.8 is available as a desktop ZIP for Chrome, Brave, and Edge. Installation uses your browser’s Developer mode. MemeTag runs on X in your browser; this package does not run inside the X iOS or Android app.
You do not need a MemeTag account or an exchange API key to create a wallet.

- Download the ZIP using the button above or the download page.
- Extract the files. On Windows, right-click the ZIP and choose Extract All. On macOS, double-click it. Move the extracted MemeTag folder somewhere permanent.
- Open the extensions page. Copy the address for your browser from the table below and paste it into the address bar of a new tab. Enable Developer mode.
- Load the extension. Click Load unpacked and select the extracted MemeTag folder that contains
manifest.json. Select the folder, not the ZIP file. - Open MemeTag. Wallet setup opens automatically. If it does not, open your browser’s extensions menu and select MemeTag. Pin it to the toolbar for quick access.
- Choose your wallet and reload X. Connect Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack for Solana, or create a MemeTag wallet and save its recovery information. Reload X to see Buy buttons beside supported cashtags and contract addresses.

Connect the experience
Connect Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack for Solana trading. Or create or import a MemeTag wallet, set a password, and save the recovery information shown during setup. Confirm a new wallet’s backup before depositing or trading.
Choose the network you want to use. Deposit SOL on Solana or ETH on Robinhood Chain into the matching address. Creating a wallet does not fund it.
Reload your open X tabs. Look for the Buy button beside a cashtag or contract address in a post. Follow Your first trade to place an order.
Update an existing install
Download the new release, extract it, and replace the files in the same extension folder. Click Reload on MemeTag’s card in your browser’s extensions page, then refresh X.
The installation page shows the package’s SHA-256 checksum and includes a source download. Updates are manual in this release.

The official Chrome Web Store release and a mobile version are coming soon.
The Chrome Web Store listing will be available after review and approval. The mobile version is planned separately from this desktop extension. Release dates and installation links will be added here when ready.
